List metaphors

A metaphor is a comparison showing that a situation, experience or object is similar to another one. A metaphor often expresses the more unfamiliar in terms of something more familiar and concrete. Writers use similes to express emotion and make their story vivid and entertaining. By finding new metaphors for your own story, you also discover fresh ways to look at your subject.
